Exmoor Middle Distance 2022
Sunday 3th July 2022, 7am
After successful events in 2018 and 2019, RaceNation Events are pleased to bring their tried and tested Middle Distance Triathlon experience to the fantastic Wimbleball venue. The highly anticipated climax to our exciting weekend of sport will see competitors take to the lake for a single lap of one of most beautifully located bodies of water in the country, before heading out on a partially closed road route on the fine Somerset and Devon road network. The final discipline will be within the beautiful Wimbleball countryside affording outstanding views.
Cut off times for the Exmoor Middle Distance are as follows:
Swim 1 hour 30 mins
Bike 6 hours total race time
Run/overall 9 hours
FREE event photos
Race Start 7:00am
Please don’t worry as we will ensure that no one is prevented from finishing the event due to missing a cut off times. These are used as a guide to ensure the safety of everyone involved in the event.

Local Accommodation
The area surrounding Wimbleball is blessed with a number of wonderful accommodation spots. Airbnb and Tourist Information will have plenty of local places to stay, but we think the following places are good options to start with!
Holworthy Farm (overlooks the lake)
Outposts lodge accommodation
- Outposts’ cosy timber clad lodges sleep up to 80 in bunk rooms.
- Each lodge has a shared bathroom with WC, showers and basins with hot running water and they are fully heated.
- The sheltered deck area in front of each lodge is ideal for leaving wet gear.
- Close to the lodges is a communal space and dining area that we call ‘The Bush Camp’. It is a rustic shelter with ample room to store and work on bikes and other equipment and well as hanging space to dry kit. There is also a camp fire, picnic tables and benches.
- We offer B&B, half and full board options.
- The lodges are set within 70 acres of farmland in an area of outstanding natural beauty.
